Most Catholic learn that grace is needed for salvation, and that we receive grace through sacraments, prayer and meritorious good works. However when we get more specifics about this things become a bit more vague generally speaking. In this talk Father Ian begins to explain that the gift of grace brings about a new life in our souls, and that this life is not just a random sequence of blessings from God, but that the Holy Spirit creates an 'organism' within - that is the spiritual life has a kind of structure. This is what is known as the Spiritual Organism - and this is what a living soul is like.
